Build Your Own Pool

Your own pool is a really cool thing, I thought some years ago. I went from swimming pool vendor to swimming pool supplier to educate myself. But this was not enough for me. I tried to meet people who allready own a pool and pestered them with questions. I also asked constructors and an architect I know. I found out, that it is quite difficult and costly to build your own pool.

But I always thought of the benefits and the fun I would have and then the adventure began. I said "build your own pool" and started. Although I  thought I was very well educated and prepared, some mistakes happened. It took me some time to figure them out and now I'm happy with my pool and enjoy it during the hot period of the year. It would be possible to use it in winter, but I didn't want to install a swimming pool heater.

From time to time I go to a lake and I also enjoy hollidays at the sea, but I like to take a swim after work. A quick dip in the water after an hour of jogging is marvelous and the additional exercises in my training schedule help me to relax my muscles in my neck.

No matter if you prefer an above ground pool or an in-ground pool - your own pool adds value and enjoyment to your live. Many of my friends relized this when they came to visit me and allways I told them: "Build your own pool!" Many of them did and asked me to help them. So I got to know many different types of pools - be it salt water pools, above ground pools and various pools with vinyl liner. Some of them were made of bricks and concrete, other swimming pools had a steel frame. Everyone is happy now with his own pool and now I want to share some of my experiences in a blog you might be interested in.
